The Heart Wager — Mason At Chloe's Door

it's late and Chloe lives far away I want to get home too Brooke we've been classmates for three years I didn't say you couldn't since when do you care this much about a classmate it was Mason's driver Mason wanted me to ride with them Brooke didn't I hadn't even said a word before they started arguing about it luckily my ride showed up too no thanks my rides

guess she doesn't want your help once the door shut i didn't have to hear them i rinked out my wet sleeves my hands were still shaking but at least i was finally going home after my shower i saw two missed calls from an unknown number. It was Mason. I'm outside your place. He'd come back with cold medicine. No thanks,

I'll get my own. Go home. Are you coming down or do I have to come in? My parents were still in the living room. If he came in, they'd ask questions and I'd have to relive all of it. So I went out, hoping he'd just take his stuff and leave. Chloe, you said we're just classmates. Do you avoid everyone else like this?
