Release your AI film. Sell it as a ticket.
Release one landscape film, start to finish. The first five minutes are open to everyone; the rest is a ticket.
Generated Worlds Movies is a way for AI filmmakers to release a finished landscape film — 10 minutes to two and a half hours — and sell it as a ticket. The first 5 minutes play to anyone; viewers buy a ticket with tokens to watch the whole film, priced by length at 10 tokens for every 90 seconds after the opening. Each film gets a trailer recommended in the Generated Worlds feed, its own link, and a page on the filmmaker's studio site. 80% of net ticket revenue after processing is allocated to the filmmaker, paid out from $25. Movies is in pilot: filmmakers apply from Creator Studio.

You made a film. Here is where it plays, and how it pays you. Movies on Generated Worlds: one landscape film, start to finish, sold as a ticket. In Creator Studio, open Movies and upload your film. Landscape, ten minutes to two and a half hours long. While it prepares, the first five minutes become an opening anyone can watch. The whole film stays intact behind a ticket, priced by length: ten tokens for every ninety seconds after the opening. Every film gets a quick trailer. On Starter and above, ask for a Hollywood-style trailer. It reads your film and cuts several versions, with music and titles. Pick the one you like. Then choose how your trailer looks in the feed. Opening titles, an ambient glow, a poster reveal, a widescreen frame. The phone plays your real trailer in each one. Release it, and your film gets its own link. Your studio site has movie templates, and you pick which film leads the front page. Viewers meet your film as its trailer, with everything a series has. One tap starts the opening. At five minutes, the ticket. Once they buy it, the film carries on right where they were. Your film's page shows who started it, who reached five minutes, and who bought a ticket. Eighty percent of net ticket revenue after processing is yours, paid out once you pass twenty-five dollars. Movies is in pilot. Apply from Creator Studio, and bring your film.
How to release and sell your film
- 1
Upload your film
In Creator Studio, open Movies and upload one landscape film, 10 minutes to two and a half hours long, up to 20 GB. Add the title, the logline and your credits.
- 2
The opening and the ticket
While it prepares, the first 5 minutes become an opening anyone can watch, and the whole film is kept intact behind a ticket. The ticket is priced by length: 10 tokens for every 90 seconds after the opening.
- 3
Your trailer
Every film gets a quick trailer cut from it. On Starter and above you can ask for a Hollywood-style trailer: it reads your film and cuts several versions with music and titles, and you pick the one you like.
- 4
How the trailer looks in the feed
Pick how your landscape trailer is framed on a phone — opening titles, an ambient glow, a poster reveal, a widescreen scope frame, a close-up or a turn-your-phone hint. A phone beside the choices plays your real trailer in each look.
- 5
Release it
Release the film and it gets its own link to share, and a page on your studio site, where movie templates let your trailer lead the front page.
- 6
Viewers watch, and buy a ticket
Viewers meet your film as its trailer, with everything a series has. One tap starts the opening; at 5 minutes they buy the ticket and the film carries on where they were. Your film's page shows who started it, who reached 5 minutes and who bought a ticket.

A trailer that sells it, framed for a phone
Viewers meet your film as its trailer in the Generated Worlds feed, under 90 seconds, with the same rail and caption as any series. Every film gets a quick trailer. On Starter ($39 a month; creators we invite get their first month for $1) and above, ask for a Hollywood-style AI trailer — it reads your film and cuts several versions with music and titles — and choose one of six looks:
Opening titles
Two seconds of opening titles — Original Movie, a film by you, your title — then the trailer in a soft glow.
Ambient glow
The trailer's own light fills the screen behind it, with your title set large above.
Poster reveal
Opens as a full-height poster with your title stacked huge, then pulls back to the whole picture.
Scope
A 2.39:1 frame. Your title in the top bar, lines of your film's dialogue in the bottom bar.
Picture + close-up
The whole picture on top; a slow close-up of the same frame fills the screen below.
Turn to watch
The trailer with a gentle 'turn your phone for the full picture' — one tap goes full screen sideways.
Your films on your own site
Your studio site has templates built for landscape films. Choose which film leads the front page; every film has its own page and its own link.
Opening Night
Your trailer full-bleed under a one-sheet title; your films as wide cards.
Scope
A 2.39:1 frame with black bars: the title in the top bar, the ticket in the bottom.
Projector
A screen in a dark booth with your film's own frames running past on a strip.
Director's Cut
A printed filmography: your name as the masthead, your statement, every film as an entry.

Selling a film after Vimeo On Demand
Vimeo stopped new On Demand purchases on 21 September 2026 and closes its storefronts on 20 November 2026. Where a film can be sold now depends on how you want people to pay.
| Where | How viewers pay | What you need | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vimeo On Demand | Rent or buy the film | A paid Vimeo plan | No new purchases since 21 Sep 2026; storefronts close 20 Nov 2026 |
| Vimeo Streaming (formerly OTT) | A monthly subscription to your channel | From $1 per subscriber a month, with apps for TVs | Open — Vimeo's recommended route for its sellers |
| YouTube | Ads, or channel memberships | 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours for ad revenue | Open — reach, but no way to sell one film |
| Generated Worlds Movies | The first 5 minutes open to everyone, then a ticket priced by length | An application to the pilot; nothing to pay to publish | Pilot — apply from Creator Studio |
Vimeo's dates from its own On Demand shutdown notice; YouTube's thresholds from its Partner Program requirements. Checked 19 October 2026. Vimeo's notice.
Questions filmmakers ask
Where can I sell my AI film?
On Generated Worlds Movies you release a finished landscape film and sell it as a ticket: the first 5 minutes play to anyone, then viewers buy a ticket with tokens to watch the whole film. The film gets a trailer in the Generated Worlds feed, its own link and a page on your studio site, and 80% of net ticket revenue after processing is allocated to you. Movies is in pilot; apply from Creator Studio.
Vimeo On Demand is closing. Where do I move my film?
Vimeo stopped new On Demand purchases on 21 September 2026 and closes the storefronts on 20 November 2026. Vimeo suggests its subscription product, Vimeo Streaming, which suits a channel people pay for monthly. If you want to sell one film to people who have just watched its opening, Generated Worlds Movies sells it as a ticket after the first five minutes, with a trailer in the feed and a page on your own studio site.
How much does a ticket cost?
It is set by the film's length: 10 tokens for every 90 seconds after the first 5 minutes, rounded to the nearest 10. A token is 1¢ at list price, so a 20-minute film's ticket is 100 tokens and a 90-minute film's is 570 tokens. The same formula applies to every film, so a viewer pays for minutes, the same way they pay for a series episode.
How do I get paid?
80% of net ticket revenue after processing is allocated to you. It is paid out through Stripe once your balance reaches $25. You never build a checkout: viewers pay with tokens they already hold or top up on the spot.
How long can my film be?
From 10 minutes to two and a half hours, landscape, up to 20 GB. Short films count: a 10-minute film has a 5-minute opening and a 30-token ticket.
What is the five-minute opening?
The first 5 minutes of your film, open to anyone with no account. When it ends, the viewer is offered the ticket; once they buy it, the film continues from the 5-minute mark. The paid part is your whole film as one intact file, so nothing is stitched together and nothing is cut from it.
Do I need a trailer?
No. Every film gets a quick trailer cut from it automatically, and that is what the feed shows. On Starter ($39 a month; creators we invite get their first month for $1) and above you can also ask for a Hollywood-style AI trailer and choose how your trailer looks in the feed.
Why do landscape films look right on a phone here?
Your trailer is framed for a vertical screen instead of shrunk into a strip: you can open it with titles, fill the screen with the trailer's own light, start on a poster and pull back, use a widescreen cinema frame or a close-up of the same shot, and the full film plays sideways when the viewer turns their phone.
Can I put the film on my own website?
Yes. Your studio site has movie templates built for landscape films, where the trailer leads and every film has its own page, and you choose which film leads the front page. It can run on your own domain.
Who can apply to the Movies pilot?
Filmmakers making original films with AI who hold the rights to what they upload. Apply from Creator Studio → Movies with the film's title, its length and when it will be ready; the Generated Worlds team switches Movies on for your studio.
Is my film kept safe?
The paid part is only ever sent to a viewer who holds a ticket, through short-lived signed links, and the opening is a separate file.
