The Heart Wager — A Jacket In The Rain

Just wait. At least Chloe won't be sitting alone anymore. It was finally Friday. Everyone was obsessed with how hot the new guy was.

But I didn't care. As long as I wasn't stuck with Mason, anyone was fine. I stayed almost an hour late to finish up at the club. By the time I packed the gear away, it was pouring.

Then I checked my bag and realized I'd forgotten my umbrella. This is on me. I had to stop and feed that stray cat, and now you're soaked. It's fine. I've got it.

They were still there. His acket had Brooke covered. I zipped up my backpack, moved to the other side of the door, and waited for the rain to ease up.

We're locking up. You three wait outside. By the front gate for your ride. Don't stay in here. Chloe!
