Just Friends, Right? — Serena's Press Event

World judges punish falls. I changed two positions and placed Zoe closer to center. Avery laughed. I am building it for the team I have.

I called the count. The first pyramid hit. The second rose faster. Zoe completed the release without freezing. We landed together. Brooks studied both score sheets. Avery had cleaner motions.

Avery lifted her chin. Mia had stronger trust scores. The team looked at me. Tomorrow, the athletes vote for one camp leader. Avery moved close enough. You think they will choose you? She They barely know you.

The next day, Serena arranged a live press event before the vote. She placed my old sweatshirt photo on the screen. Mia, how much weight did you lose? Every camera moved closer. No, sir. That is your first question?

Your transformation inspired millions. My body changed because my life changed. Serena smiled. So the old Mia was unhealthy?

I looked at the frightened girl on the screen. The old Mia was humiliated, ignored, and still strong enough to return. The room quieted. She is not the part of me I need to erase.

A reporter raised her hand. Then what changed? I stopped letting cruel people tell me how much space I deserved. Serena cut the microphone.
