Spoiled Rotten, Hit Hard (BL) — The Hundred Thousand Bet

Yeah! See what I can do, Mr. Butler. Could I trouble you to put the tree upright again? It was rather expensive. Uh, give it ten years. It should grow straight again by then.

So, do I qualify as a personal bodyguard now? Mr. Carter, the man you're about to meet is your employer, Elliot Ashford, sole heir to the Ashford I know. The heir who's been in a wheelchair since the crash. There is nothing physically wrong with Elliot's hands or legs.

He simply cannot overcome the psychological barrier at present. Over the past year, he has turned away 12 of the finest physiotherapists. Sounds like a bad-tempered beast. No worries. I've trained lions before, back in my zookeeping days.

Get him through that door, and the $100,000 is yours immediately. A hundred grand?
