The Unspoken Decade (BL) — The Expensive Coffee Cup

You're his chief of staff? Yes. And an Omega. Is that relevant to the agreement?

It does now. I'm hosting our investors tonight. They're old-fashioned alphas, and they're much easier to handle when the room feels What exactly are you asking me to do? Cancel your evening. You'll come to my hotel at 7, help me entertain them.

My responsibilities are here, Ms. Grant. Your responsibility is to help your CEO close this deal. Is she asking Elliot to work the room because he's an Omega? She's not asking.

You have three minutes to clear your calendar, and I expect you there in I'm afraid I can't do that. You can't? Harrington Group doesn't assign employees to entertain clients personally.

You seem confused about how business works. Or I went on that imposter's view, but they sent us. If I attend on Harrington's behalf, you'll create a conflict before the deal is even So the pretty Omega knows how to read a contract.

It's part of my job. Is that the only reason Adrian keeps you so close? Yet you spend every day at his side wearing blockers and pretending no one can see what you're I respect what you built, Ms. Grant.

You fought your way into rooms that dismissed you for being a female alpha. It's disappointing to see you use the same prejudice against an Omega. Watch your tone. My tone is most professional.

Your request wasn't... Who gave you the right to attack one of my people in my own company? Bring another coffee. Yes, sir.

Give it to Elliot. Return it. You're going to risk this partnership over an Omega assistant? I'm correcting your misunderstanding.

No one under my authority is yours to humiliate. Thank you, Mr. Harrington, but I don't need to do this. Why not? If I throw this to your chief of staff, Harrington loses a partner and Grant loses its largest client.

That cup is too expensive. But what you said about my designation and my integrity wasn't business.
