Cluckstruck — The Power Couple's Arrival

The next day, a second Alexander walked into class. Blake was already waiting for him. Blake had two coffees in hand. He tossed one to Alexander. So how'd it go yesterday? You talk things through with her?

Alexander caught the cup. His brow tightened slightly. It's handled. Good. Thanks, man. If it hadn't gone clean, I wouldn't know what to tell Chloe. Alexander looked up.

You've already got a new girlfriend? Before Blake could answer, a soft, Blake! Sweet voice floated in from the doorway.

A girl in a pale blue dress walked in. Long hair, pale skin. The moment she appeared, a few guys in the room started hollering. Bro's girlfriend's here.

Damn, Collins, way to go. Chloe Daniels runs the business school's networking mixers. Guys have lined up around the block for her. Now that's a power couple.

Blake laughed to us. Wrapping an arm around Chloe's shoulders, she blushed and swatted him. You guys are so annoying. Someone laughed.

What's there to be shy about? She's gorgeous, you two are a great match. Honestly Collins, you should have made this move ages ago. Wasn't your online girlfriend pushing 200 pounds? They say the sweeter the voice, the scarier the scale.

Can't believe you dated her for a whole year. Another guy snorted. You're soft, man. If it were me and I found out my girl looked like that, I'd have blocked her on the Wouldn't have needed to send someone else to break up for me.
