The Dress He Hid — Asking You To Stay

I haven't decided. The hurt hadn't gone, but I was noticing other things now. His smile, his hands. The way he looked away and then looked back as though he couldn't quite help himself.

More tea? Is that your way of asking me to leave? No. I'm trying to work out how to ask you to stay.

Oh. Was that too direct? No. I think I've had enough of guessing what someone means.

You've been very careful with me. I didn't want you to feel you owed me anything. I don't. You sure?

I want to kiss you again.
