When that restaurant first opened, I sent him the address. I really wanted him to go with me. Skip a meal, it wouldn't kill you. Later, I realized he was just too embarrassed to be seen in public with me.

That was a long time ago. I don't want to go anymore. After taking a shower, I lay in bed scrolling through Instagram. Then I saw a story Carson posted five minutes ago.

Attached was a photo of him and Savannah. In the picture, Savannah looked thin, pretty, and perfect beside Carson. I used to wonder if that could be me if I were just a little smaller. But this time, I just felt tired.

Guess the secret's out. Why aren't you eating? Carson picked it out just for you. I stared at the green salad. Thanks, but I'm not hungry.

Makes sense. It's better not to eat too much at night anyway. Right then, my phone buzzed with a text from Carson. Carson always knew exactly how to mess with my head.
