You can already get views. What you cannot do on any large platform is let someone buy episode four. There is no button for it — so an audience that would happily pay you has no way to.

A short-drama creator earns by keeping their reach where it already is — Instagram, TikTok or YouTube — and hosting the full season somewhere that has a unit of sale. Each week one episode premieres live, where fans can tip; the episodes after it can be unlocked for money that week, and open up free the week after. Viewers pay to skip the wait, not for access.

Two halves, and they do different jobs
Be clear about what this is not. If what you want is reach, YouTube and TikTok will beat us at it every time — they have the recommendation engines and the audience, and no honest page would tell you otherwise. Instagram will get your clip in front of more people tomorrow than we will. What none of them will do is let one of those people buy the next episode.

The loop
Run this once and you will have done the whole business end to end. Run it every week and the season builds an audience that expects Friday.
Monday to Thursday
Your channel does not change. Same clips, same voice, same schedule, same followers. The one thing you add is a link to your season, so the people who want the rest can find it.
Friday
Set a time and tell your channel. Everyone watches at that moment together — nobody can skip ahead. They talk to each other while it plays, and they can pay to thank you on the spot.
The weekend
Anyone who cannot wait until next week unlocks them and keeps watching that night. This is the moment a viewer turns into a customer, and it only exists because the story did its job first.
The week after
They open by themselves — set the window once in the studio and the paid episodes go free on their own, so it is a promise the system keeps rather than one you have to remember. Post them on your own channel too. Nobody who waited is punished, and everyone arriving late lands on a season already moving.
The part that makes it work
This is the difference between a paywall people resent and one they use. Every episode ends up free. The only thing money buys is watching it tonight instead of next week — which is exactly what somebody three episodes deep actually wants.
Anyone can come. Nobody can skip ahead. This is the event.
One unlock is 10 tokens. The impatient pay; nobody else has to.

A new series opens with the first 10 episodes free by default. That is a starting point, not a rule — you can change which episodes are free, one at a time or in a run, whenever you like.
How money reaches you
A viewer buys an episode they do not want to wait for. One unlock is 10 tokens. You keep 80% of what they pay, after the fee the card processor charges — the earnings page shows the whole calculation on every sale.
In the room, a fan can thank you while the episode plays — one tap is $1, up to 12 times, or a larger amount if they choose. You keep 80% of that too. This is the only place your audience pays you rather than paying for something.
Both land in the same balance. You can withdraw once it clears $25 and you have connected a payout account, which you do from the studio in a few minutes.
