The Apocalypse Outside the Wall

The mines still run, because somebody has to haul the ore, and the wall still holds, because the alternative is what is outside it. Captain Chen's squad pulls survivors out of the swarm and brings them back to a base that is running out of room to put them, while the UDA's people take an unusual interest in what the anomaly at the eastern site actually is. New recruits get one month to kill a xenobeast alone. Most of the training is spent explaining why that is the easy part.
