After transferring to a total dump of a high school for my senior year, to avoid being I chose the biggest pushover in class, Mason Cole, to pick on. I snatched his breakfast, drank his water,

and cornered him outside school after class to slap him. Sure enough, as long as I acted tough enough, nobody dared mess with me. Until one day, I saw the pushover I'd been picking on non-stop step on the punk who'd mess with me. You've got some nerve.

You even dared mess with our top dog? Wait. Aren't you the top dog? Nope.

Norah Taylor is. Me? My parents had to relocate for work, so I had no choice but to transfer

to this dump of a school. How bad was it? There were 10 homerooms in my grade, but only one took school seriously.

Good news, I was in that honors group. Bad news, apparently, even the honors kids bullied people. My best friend Sophie said a nerd like me was the easiest target.

If I wanted to study in peace, I had to make myself look hard to mess with. Do I look tough enough? Aw, little chipmunk.

Even when you're mad, you look like you'd just scamper away. I had already been at this school for a week. So far, nobody had bullied me. But everyone kept looking at me strangely,

almost like they felt sorry for me. Nobody talked to me either. I had no idea if that was the first sign of bullying. I was seriously worried.
