A woman's online boyfriend seems to be pulling away, until the boy who takes over his account turns out to be someone she already knows in secret. As the two grow closer through messages and shared confessions, she must untangle who she's really falling for — the persona online or the boy behind the screen.
The comments immediately turned on. That's gross. No wonder she had to catfish guys online. Nobody would have looked at her in real life.
I heard she came to our school. If she's the freshman of this semester, we'll finally get to see what she really looks like. Lily, she was probably just insecure. It's not her fault she wasn't pretty.
But lying about it was- Blake, let's not talk about her. Just thinking about it makes me sick. I'm just glad I'm with you now.
He still didn't know that I was in the group chat as well. I saw everything. How he chased Lily. How he used me as a joke and how he humiliated me.
What's that catfish girl's name? We probably will run into her after the school starts. Blake answered casually. Nora Quinn.
What a dull name. I immediately changed my display name to Nora Quinn. I'm Nora Quinn. Then, I sent one message.
I'm Nora Quinn. The whole chat group went silent. A few minutes later, Lily sent two messages. Welcome! Are you coming to the orientation?
She was not welcoming me. She just wanted to see if I was as ridiculous as they said. I replied, yes. On the first day of school, as the plane landed, my phone started buzzing.
Babe, you here? I'm at the arrivals. I brought you flour. Honestly, I'm kinda nervous. What if you don't like me? This liar had been using someone else's photos to date me for three months. Yet somehow, he was kinda sweet.
Whenever I couldn't sleep, he'd stay up talking to me, even when he was exhausted.
