A man finds himself surrounded by 108 women who all claim to be his mother — until they reveal that they are bound together by a hidden empire far larger than he imagined. As their secret world comes to light, he must reckon with who these women really are and what their shared power means for him.
You're so pathetic you won't even call your own parents. What, can't they afford gas money? Then where'd you get the nerve to push my son? God, you're a joke.
My mother's really can't come. I'm sorry, Weston. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have pushed you.
I'll apologize in front of the whole school. I'll carry your bag for a year. You can hit me back. Just please don't call the police.
I can't be expelled. Weston smirked. His mom lunged for my phone. Now you want a bargain?
Give me the number. I'll talk to them myself. Lane, give her the phone. No.
He reached for it. I hugged the phone to my chest. Backed away. Please.
Don't call my mother. I hit myself again and again, crying. Weston, please. Please.
Everything I said, the apology, all of it, it counts. You can hit me, just don't call my family. Weston watched. A satisfied look crossed his face.
Fine, but sorry isn't enough. Tomorrow, you kneel in front of the whole school. You stay on your knees until I say stop, then I won't call the police.
