After Dark, Ava — Episode 7

Can I see it? No. Why? Private.

Number seven. What? If I remember right, that watch is number seven. How would you know that?

Because Aureline made 12. I photographed all 12 before they were sent out. That one is number 7. So?

So number 7 was never sold. It was given to someone. Who? Ava.

So why do you have Ava's watch? A friend gave it to me. What friend? Private.

You know Ava? No. You are a terrible liar. Then stop asking.

He laughs. Instead of pushing, he changes the subject. What about it? Come with me.

Where? Vera Foundation Charity Night. The same event? Your ex said you could never get in.

So come as my date. I almost laugh. Go to my own event as Julian Hazy's date? Fine.

That easy? I already planned to go. You have an invitation? Now I have you.

He smiles. Smart. But we need to fix one thing. What?

This. My clothes are fine. They are huge. That is the point.

What did you say? Nothing. Come with me. Where?

My studio. I need to confirm something. What? Whether you are hiding more than one secret.

Julian's temporary studio is behind the school theater. He gives me a black dress. Put this on. No.

You agreed to be my date? The event is not today. I need your size. You are using me as a free model?
