The Long Game — Kyle's New Post

back yet is sitting here really that happy my friends are over there i'll head back now the The moment Lina saw me, she couldn't wait to ask, Vera, did you know Thane from before? We just met.

Lina made sure everyone could hear her. See, Vera's always been popular with guys. There's just no way I can compete. She sounded so fake.

Kyle suggested we go grab some late night food. Vera, I'm going with them. You can just head back on yourself. Okay. You come too.

If this were before, I would have been thrilled to have Kyle invite me. But today I really wasn't in the mood to watch him flirt with other girls. No, I'm tired. Weren't you always saying you wanted to try that place?

When that restaurant first opened, I sent him the link, hoping he'd go with me. But he was always too busy, busy hanging out with his new friends. It's been too long. I don't feel like eating there anymore. After showering, I lay in bed scrolling through social media.

I saw that Kyle had posted something five minutes earlier. Lost the game, but won the girl. The photo was of him and Lena. I froze. For years, every time I saw Kyle with another girl, it hurt.

But now, seeing him with someone else, I suddenly felt lighter. As friends, this was fine. I should be happy for him. Ladies, I brought snacks. Kyle paid for them. Kyle really treats you differently. I just saw his post.

Are you two officially together now?
