Suddenly, Adrian grabbed my hand and pushed me against the wall. His strong body pressed close to me, his hot breath hitting my face. Adrian, are you crazy? Adrian ignored me.

He calmly put the gun against my chest and pulled the trigger. I froze. All my insults stuck in my throat. I didn't dare to move. Then Adrian lowered his head, his lips almost touching mine.

Serena, did you think I was going to kiss you? How ridiculous. Do you think you're worthy? You begged my father to let you marry me. Tell me, why are you so cheap, huh? Stung by Adrian's words, I lost my temper and pushed him away hard.

Adrian stumbled back from my push. His eyes were filled with disbelief and anger. How dare you fight back. Do you think I'll like you just because you're playing hard to get?
