Jilted but Upgrade — Episode 10

But you do. Lian would say softly, he never crossed a line. Then one month ago, Lian asked me again for the 99th time. If you decide not to marry him, would you marry me instead?

I laughed and said he was taking advantage of me. I'm not taking advantage of you. I'm waiting for someone who deserves better, and hoping one day she'll choose me. And today, I finally did. Nico realized it too.

So how long have you two been sneaking around behind my back? Nico Vasus. You have the nerve to say that? My mom started shaking with anger.

Who let another woman board the wedding yacht in white? Who let her wear my daughter's ring and humiliate her in front of everyone? My dad stepped forward, his voice cold. You know damn well who ruined this wedding.

Panic flashed across Sophia's face. I didn't do anything! You've all got it wrong! She burst into tears. But my wedding ring was still on her finger.

It made everything she said sound like a lie. I looked at her. If none of this was intentional, take off my ring. Sophia froze.

Just moments ago, she'd said it wouldn't come off. But with everyone watching, she couldn't keep stalling. I stared at her hand. Take it off.

Nico cut in without thinking. Daphne, don't force her. I'm forcing her?
