Call Me Yours — Episode 9

I'm right here! Come over here! I tuned him out, my hand searching the air. Dominic, I'm scared. Hubert gently drew me into his arms, his voice soft.

Don't be afraid. I'm here. The room fell dead silent. It's over.

Even Beatrice hadn't expected this. Glancing at Dominic's dark face, she forced a tight smile. Leela, do you know what you're doing? I ignored her and tugged Hubert's arm.

Dominic, I'm tired. Can we go home? Of course. Right at the door, a hard grip clamped around my wrist.

Leela, you've got the wrong man. I'm your boyfriend, Dominic. Hubert, my girlfriend is blind. She mixed us up. Stop playing along. Come on, Lila. I'm taking you home.

I tore free and stepped back in disgust, pressing myself into Hubert's chest. Dominic, your friend has a strange sense of humor. How could I possibly mistake someone else for my own boyfriend? Dominic's confidence finally shattered.

Lila, don't scare me. You recognized everyone else? How could you not recognize my voice? Stop this. Please come home with me. He reached for me again. Hubert blocked him. you're making my girlfriend uncomfortable
