Tim texted me constantly you eat lunch yet you good you free after school just just random stuff. Vivian bought two hair clips and gave me one. We're in this together now, no cap.

This relationship, if you could call it that, was actually happening. At lunch, I turned around to ask Ethan if he wanted to go to the cafeteria together.

He looked up from his notebook. I texted Vivian earlier, she hasn't replied. Then my phone buzzed. Cafeteria?

I stared at the screen. Great, now what? Before I could decide, the quad group chat lit up. Vivian posted a screenshot.

Cafeteria? Can't, already asked Anne. Wait, they're literally in the same class. Why are they texting? Mind if I tag along?

At Vivian, let's all go together. You haven't replied to me yet. Enough. I said enough. This world is actually tweaking. Why do you have to DM her privately? This group chat exists for a reason. You do the same thing.

Cafeteria. We grabbed our trays in silence. Tim took my tray and added a chicken tender without asking. Thanks. Ethan and Vivian both side-eyed him.

Tim rolled his eyes and slapped tenders onto their trays too.
