Mason looked like he wanted to say something. As the biggest pushover in class, he probably didn't know who the top dog was either. I patted his shoulder.

It's okay if you don't know. I heard the top dog has a crush now, so he's probably in a good mood and won't bother us. Mason started coughing hard.

Poor guy. Just hearing about the top dog scared him that much. Apparently, whatever I worried about came true. I should have worried about getting into a top school instead.

On my way home after school, I ran into a group of punks. After they threatened me, I lost ten bucks and gained a boba. The next day, I dragged myself into school. What happened?

I'm not bullying you anymore. Acting tough doesn't work at all. Why? A punk took ten bucks from me yesterday.

What? It's okay. Don't be scared. Even if you run into them, it's only ten bucks. I'm not scared.

Never mind. Tell me what he looked like. Uh, his head looked like a pudding. Dyed blonde with brown roots growing out. Okay. Got it.

He pulled out his phone and started typing quickly. I had no idea who he was texting. I feel kind of guilty for bullying you all this time. Since it didn't work, I'll stop.

Who said it didn't work? Did you ever think maybe you just weren't bullying me hard enough? Huh? Didn't you notice everyone in class started fearing you after you bullied me?
