The Anvil and the Crown — Episode 3

Sweetheart, are you alright? Mummy! Did you come save me? Oh dear, I'm not your mother. You must be frightened. Where are your parents?

My father is always busy. I don't have a mother. But you look exactly like the mother in my dreams. Poor child. If my Vera hadn't been stolen by traffickers, she would be about her age now. You are my mum. Take this.

If you're ever in danger, press it hard. My dad will descend like a god to save you. No, no, no, sweetie. This is far too precious. I can't take it.

Please, you have to keep it. Helen, we're leaving. My home is that way. I have to go now, Mummy.

I'll come find you soon. Little monster, the streets are still chaotic after the tsunami. Who told you to run off? Dad, I just found you the perfect queen.

A queen? A blacksmith isn't allowed to have a queen. She's different. She just saved me from the horses. She looks exactly like the mum in my dreams. You have to meet her. Anyone willing to risk her life for you is worthy of respect.

If we meet her again, I'll thank her personally.
