Out of His Shadow — Episode 8

Don't you dare move. Rest. Wait here. I spotted the boba tea shop we had just passed. I came back with two boba teas and a ice. I thought you had abandoned me.

Ethan was still sitting exactly where I had left him. Put this on your knee. The season is about to start. You can't get injured because of me. You're more worried about my leg than I am.

I didn't know what flavor you liked, so I ordered the same as mine. Has anyone ever told you that you're very cute? I nodded out of reflex. Then I felt my face slowly burning up. After a brief silence, he said my name again.

I was so happy when you brought me water. Come cheer me on again at the next game. Ethan entered the bedroom with a bubble tea in his hand. Ethan, you bought bubble tea. Is it for me? Keep dreaming. Ethan pinned our chat to the top and sent me a photo.

He waited for me after class. He walked me home. He invited me to his games. Wasn't all of that a little romantic? Did he really like me? Maybe he was just being nice. That night, Ethan texted me, Do you want to play Fortnite? Don't you have practice?

I can do two things at once. Beating your team will be super easy. Wow, you're pretty confident, aren't you?
