The Wrong Girl — Episode 4

All I want is her parents down here, on their knees, paying. Otherwise, I'll call the police! Once she has a record, she can kiss this degree goodbye. Ms. Vaughn's eyes lit up the moment she saw the card.

She looked back at me Emma you hear him last chance call your parents down here to pay and apologize or we'll call the police And you'll end up with a criminal record. I couldn't end up with a criminal record I still had to clear my dad's names I looked down at the black card then at miss Vaughn's smug ugly face

Tears filled my eyes my fingers were shaking when the screen lit up, please don't call the police I'll call them. I opened my contacts and tapped the name at the top Papa Sal Sure, he runs the Falcone family, but he's the most normal one I've got. Please, please just act like a regular father for ten minutes.

He picked up on the first ring. His voice came through warm, already smiling. Papa, my teacher wants you to come to the school. The school?

He got loud fast. Did you win another award? First time you ever asked me to come get it. Hold on, baby, I'm coming right now.

Then I heard a gunshot. I froze. A man screamed. Then a string of dull, flat thuds.

Breathing was off. But when he spoke to me again, his voice was soft as ever. Is he hurt? Is he in the middle of something?

Is somebody pointing a gun at him right now? My heart hammered. Sal's eyes darkened.
