Turns out, we had a lot to talk about. Once we started talking, we completely lost track of time. It was after 10 when Adrian offered to take me back to my hotel. At the hotel entrance, he hesitated.

Okay, Claire. There's something I need to tell you- Wait. I cut him off and pulled him into the convenience store next door. I'd never done anything like this before, and I was a little embarrassed.

As Adrian walked out of the convenience store, he looked noticeably more nervous. I looked up at him with pleading eyes. You're serious? Yeah.

To prove I meant it, I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Adrian first. At first, he was incredibly restrained. No matter how much I teased him, he barely reacted. I snapped.
