A man makes a reckless bet, trading away the woman who loves him to a rival football captain. When she transforms into someone he no longer recognizes, he is forced to confront the weight of his betrayal and the love he threw away.
later he sent a photo no person in the shot just a small bouquet of white daisies and pale pink tulips wrapped in brown paper clean and simple i remember you said you didn't like over the top roses so i got this a little later no rush i'll be here i stared at the messages for a while the scammer using a fake pic was actually pretty committed i closed my hand over my phone
fine i'd meet him and clear it up if you just faked the pics but wasn't a bad guy maybe we could at least start as friends he had been good to me these past few months he remembered everything i liked he even remembered my period dates i used to think he was just acting but now that i thought about it even if it was an act it was a really detailed one then the guy next to me tapped my
arm i turned his face was red and he was gripping his boarding pass hi sorry i know this is random but can i get your number it blinked then shook my head sorry someone's picking me up he stepped back even redder oh no it's fine sorry my bad i rolled my suitcase toward arrivals across the crowd i spotted the flowers right away white daisies and pale pink tulips held against
chest the brown paper was a little crumpled from his fingers behind the flowers stood a very tall tall guy. Gray hoodie, black joggers, broad shoulders, long legs, a dark backpack slung over one shoulder. Then, like he'd finally gotten impatient, he moved the flowers aside and showed his face. Holy shit. That face. It was exactly the same as in the photos.
I approached him with a complex expression. You're- I expected him to react with surprise at seeing my face. Is there something?
