They finally found me curled up. Meanwhile, with our parents always taking my side, I got bossier with him by the year. He'd wait on me hand and foot, then mutter through gritted teeth. Winnie, if you weren't my real sister, I'd have kicked you out ages ago. I never took it seriously back then. Kept ordering him around. Refused to give up.

So I ordered another DNA test for Ethan and me. But now, holding the new DNA results, turns out, I really wasn't. I was done for. Completely done. I went home shaking. Our parents traveled for work often, so it was usually just me and Ethan in the house. When I got back, he wasn't home yet.

After dinner, the housekeeper set aside a late night snack for him, waiting for him to return. Ten o'clock came and went. The food went cold. He still wasn't home.

The housekeeper hovered nearby. I finally called Ethan. He picked up fast. Before I could speak, I heard voices in the background.

Bro, who's calling you? You picked that up fast. Bet it's your sister telling you to come home. Man, having a sister sounds nice. Ethan sighed.

Can't help it. She's clingy. He put the phone to his ear, smirking. It's only ten. Already telling me to come home? I could hear his friends groaning in the background.

Afraid he'd actually get sick of me, I said quickly.
