Above the water — Episode 4

The water won't still. But even after stirring, it's all rubble. I've got to stay with my wife. She's by the river, sitting on a makeshift toilet.

We'd agreed to meet. The bike can't get up the mountain. Every time you come back, it's the same. I'll head north again.

Every time, it's the whole mountain. Before, there were only fireflies. Their tails glowed green. There are still some around the old lady place.

You saw them. Saw them once. Soon, I doubt we'll even be able to catch them. They say there are more stars up north.

Surely prettier than a swarm of bugs. Where are you headed? Heading out. Out where?

My mom says the worksite is in the south. It's all rocks and rubble. Once you get there, where else would you go?
